Studio ARGUS, headquartered in Tallinn, is a tightly-knit collective of design professionals boasting over 20 years of expertise in interior design, fine arts, and architecture. Under the visionary leadership of architect Margit Argus, the studio has earned widespread acclaim, including nominations for the EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture and multiple Annual Awards from prestigious institutions such as the Estonian Association of Architects, the Cultural Endowment of Estonia, and the Estonian National Heritage Board.
While rooted in the Nordic aesthetic, studio ARGUS weaves a rich tapestry of cultural influences into their design philosophy, resulting in a seamless blend of contemporary vision with established heritage, creating impactful and vibrant dialogues.
Studio ARGUS is currently engaged in a variety of projects. Notable among these projects is a seaside hotel in Tallinn, a high-rise building in Tallinn that will feature apartments, a hotel, and a university campus, two school projects, including the design of a music school in Tartu, and an extension and renovation works at Tallinn Airport.
Renowned for their integrative approach, the studio has undertaken meticulous conversions of culturally sensitive sites such as Põltsamaa Castle, Haapsalu Castle, and Alexander’s Cathedral. Their prowess extends to prestigious institutional endeavours, exemplified by their work on Embassies in London and Moscow. Noteworthy residential and commercial projects include the exquisite Park Hotel in Viljandi and the innovative Fahle Gallery Street in Tallinn.
Beyond their commissioned projects, studio ARGUS actively participates in ongoing research initiatives and educational programs, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to the continuous evolution of design and innovation.
