The interior design of the Karl Ernst von Baer Health Centre focuses on creating a calming and serene atmosphere that enhances the well-being of its users. Central to the design is a spacious, light-filled atrium, featuring a gracefully curved staircase and striking white balustrades that cast dynamic shadows throughout the day. The play of light and shadow adds a sense of movement and openness to the space.

At the atrium’s base, lush indoor greenery is introduced through carefully designed green islands. These natural elements bring a sense of tranquillity, aligning with biophilic design principles that foster a connection to nature and promote relaxation. The plants are thoughtfully integrated to serve as a visual focal point and a means of creating a soothing environment.

Natural materials, such as light wood, are used extensively throughout the interiors, bringing warmth and texture to the space. The wooden slats that line the walls create subtle patterns and add depth, contrasting with the clean, minimalist white surfaces. Soft, diffused lighting complements the natural light from the atrium, enhancing the overall calm and welcoming feel.

The interior design prioritises comfort and tranquillity, making the health centre functional and a restorative environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Every element, from the natural materials to the greenery and lighting, is designed to create a space that supports healing and well-being.
